Career
Dechapol Puavaranukroh first experienced honours as a youngster, winning the boys’ doubles at the 2014 BWF World Junior Championships. Three years later, Puavaranukroh claimed the men’s doubles title at the Southeast Asian Games, as well as taking the mixed doubles title with fellow Team Yonex partner Sapsiree Taerattanachai. His partnership with Taerattanachai blossomed and together they won the silver at the 2019 World Championships before climbing to Second in the BWF Rankings in 2020. In 2021, they completed a record breaking clean sweep of tournaments in their home country with victory at the YONEX Thailand Open, the Toyota Thailand Open and the HSBC World Championships, in doing so becoming the first ever Thai players to win a title in the year-end finals tournaments.
