At 19-years-old, Czech Republic born Vondrousova reached a career high ranking of World No. 38 and became one of the youngest tennis athletes to crack the top 100 in both singles and doubles rankings. Her love for tennis began at the early age of four and by her 17th birthday, she had won her first WTA title in Biel as a qualifier.
2019 was a breakthrough year for Marketa. She reached three finals, including the Roland Garros - the first teenager to reach the finals match there since Ivanovic in 2007. She also beat Simona Halep twice at Indian Wells and Rome. That year, she reached her career high ranking of No. 14.
