Career
Sapsiree Taerattanachai first came on to the scene at the World Junior Championships in 2009 where she claimed a semi-final spot in the girls doubles. The following year she made it one better to finish as runner up at the Asian Junior Championships before winning the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. In 2014, Sapsiree made history by becoming the first player ever to be a Grand Prix Gold finalist in all three disciplines. She won the women’s doubles title ay the 2012 Indian Open Grand Prix Gold as well as the 2013 US Open Gran Prix Gold before competing in the 2014 Asian Games and at the 2016 Olympics. 2017 saw her claim the mixed doubles gold as the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold before her stunning success with Dechapol Puavaranukroh at the start of 2021 in the trio of tournaments in Thailand. Along with Puavaranukroh, she became the first Thai winners of an end of year tournament and the pair are a consistent force in the Top 10 of the BWF Rankings. .
