Yonex appointed as the Official Badminton Sports Equipment Provider for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games
Yonex Co. Ltd has been announced as the Official Badminton Sports Equipment Provider for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The partnership places Yonex as the supplier of shuttlecocks, court mats, net poles, stringing services and more for all badminton medal events.
The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will see around 4,500 athletes from 72 nations and territories compete in 19 sports across 15 competition venues from 28 July until 8 August 2022. As the biggest sporting event ever to be held in the West Midlands, it is expected to attract more than one million spectators to the city and have a global TV audience of 1.5 billion.
This collaboration is a continuation of the ongoing relationship between Yonex and the Commonwealth Games Partnership, having previously provided equipment and services at Glasgow 2014.

Birmingham 2022 is a standout international sporting event for athletes across the Commonwealth, and Yonex is honoured to help these competitors maximise their performance in front of thousands of spectators and millions of people watching across the globe.
The Badminton medal events will take place at the NEC Arena in Birmingham, beginning on 29th July with the final matches on 8th August. Six gold medals will be competed for – Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, plus a Mixed Team event.
